Build. --Wm. H. Travis, arrested on the charge of shooting his wife some days since, and whose case has been continued from day to day, that Mrs. T. might appear and testify; was bailed by the Mayor on Monday last in the sum of $1,000. Bail had been refused heretofore on the ground of some doubt existing as to the motive which prompted the deed; but it now appearing that the affair was the result of an accident, the Mayor readily admitted Travis into bonds to appear whenever the condition charge of shooting his wife some days since, and whose case has been continued from day to day, that Mrs. T. might appear and testify; was bailed by the Mayor on Monday last in the sum of $1,000.
