--John W. Butcher, a notorious market thief, and William, slave to Miss Mary Anderson, were arraigned before the Recorder yesterday to answer the charge of stealing a jar of butter from Mrs. Cochran.
William was convicted, and ordered 32 stripes, Butcher was committed till this morning for other untrusses.
