From Tennessee. [Special Correspondence of the Dispatch.] Salem, Roanoke county, Va., Sept. 15th, 1863. We arrived here in this pleasant village, situated in the fertile Roanoke valley, to-day afternoon, and as we shall be detained till night, I have concluded to indulge in a few jottings, which, if they do not-prove interesting, may serve to while away time.
