Gen. McClellan a candidate. --The "Conservative Union National Convention" met in Philadelphia on the 25th ult. It met in Independence Hall. The committee proposed a series of resolutions, from which we select the following: Resolved. That this committee recommend to the people of the United States General George B. McClellan as a candidate for the presidency, and Governor Wm. P. Campbell, of Tenn., as a candidate for the vice presidency. Resolved.
