The Chairman of the Committee on Police stated to the Council that the committee had undce and Claims reported as correct several bills which had been referred to them, and they were ordered to be paid. Mr. Scott offered the following resolution, which was adopted: Whereas, The frequent robberies that have occurred in the citee on Police be instructed to report some plan to guard the citizens against their frequent occurrence in future. Mr. Scott also offered the following resolution, which was afterwards withdrawn: Resolved, That the Committee on Police be the city to remain in service from January to January of each year.
