Escape from prison. --Nellie Bryant and three other female convicts made their escape from the Georgia Penitentiary, at Milledgeville, on Saturday night, 23d ult. Nellie left a note for the Principal Keeper, Col. Green, stating that she intended to leave, and telling him what disposed on to make of her trunk, saying if he caught her she would want it, and if he didn't, she would want it anyhow, and added a P. S. asking him to excuse bad writing, as she was very tired from digging a hole in the wall.--The instrument she used in digging out was a pair of scissors. She and one of her companions donned the uniform of a soldier and took passage on the train for Eatonton — Nellie paying the passage of the four.
