Robbery. --On Sunday afternoon the book and fancy store of Mr. John W. Davies, on 9th street, between Main and Franklin, was entered and robbed of between twelve and fifteen hundred dollars' worth of knives, razors, soaps, playing cards, pipes, &c. In the absence of Mr. D., who had gone on Capitol square to aid in distributing supplies of edibles to our returned prisoners, the burglars pried open the back door of his store, and entering relieved it of the amount of goods enumerated above. It will be recollected that by the destructive fire which took place the morning before the robbery this gentleman lost upwards of $75,000 worth of property.
