Confederate States Congress. The Senate met at 11 o'clock A. M. yesterday. The bill to increase the President's salary to $50,000 in Confederate Treasury notes was laid on the table. Mr. Wetkins, of Ala., offered the following joint resolution, which was passed: Resolved by the Congress of the Confederate States of America, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby directed to pay in gold to the President $2,000 of the annual salary now allowed him by law.
