From Tennessee. --A letter from a lady at Athens, Tennessee, represents Yankee rule in that region as very brutal and tyrannical, but less so than the conduct of the Union citizens. Mrs. Judge Van Dyke, whose husband is held as a hostage at Johnson's Island, was recently sent North by the Yankees, as was also Mrs. General Vaughan and several other secesh ladies. The Rev. Timothy Sullins is a prisoner at Knoxville, also held as a hostage. Our troops are now picketing as low down in Tennessee as Rogersville, and perhaps still lower down, and it is said there are no Yankee troops this side of New Market. The whole force at Knoxville is said to be three negro regiments and a battalion of Michigander, about half of the latter of whom are at New Market. Brownlow is still blazing away at Knoxville, advocating the election of Abe and Andy.
