Narrow escape.
--Y. C. Ammon, Esq., high Sheriff of Rockingham county, had a very narrow escape a fortnight ago. He was shooting a gun which had just been repaired, when the breach blew out, passing through his hat brim, within a few inches of his forehead.--His face and eyes were powder burnt, but he sustained fortunately, no other damage.
He was confined to his room for a few day, but is now attending to his business as usual.--Rich. Register.
