A.make exact, precise, or accurate, ἐ. λόγον make a distinct or precise statement, S.Tr.426; “τὸ τρανὸν τῆς κλήσεως” J.BJ4.1.1; ἐ. τι ἐπὶ πλεῖον labour after too great exactness, Arist.EN1102a25, cf. 1101b34; ἕκαστα . . ἐξακριβοῦσιν οἱ μεθ᾽ ἡδονῆς ἐνεργοῦντες achieve each activity more completely, ib.1175a31; κατὰ μέρος ἐ. work out in detail, Epicur. Ep.1p.31U.:—Med., ἐξακριβώσομαί σοι λόγῳ shall describe it exactly, Philostr. Jun.Im.10:—Pass., Arist.EN1180b11, Thphr.HP9.16.6, Epicur.Ep.1p.4U.,al.
II. intr., speak accurately, “ὑπέρ τινος” Arist. EN1096b30; “περί τινος” Plb.2.56.4, cf. Porph.Abst.1.39.
