Arigno'te
(
Ἀριγνώτη), of Samos, a female Pythagorean philosopher, is sometimes described as a daughter, at other times merely as a disciple of Pythagoras and Theano.
She wrote epigrams and several works upon the worship and mysteries of Dionysus. (Suidas,
