خَدِيجٌ خديج The young one of a camel brought forth before the completion of the days [of gestation], (S, K,) even if it be completely formed; (S;) [and so, accord. to rule, ↓ مَخْدُوجٌ .] ― -b2- See also مُخْدَجٌ. ― -b3- It is applied in a trad. respecting the poor-rate to A calf one year old, or under, that still follows its mother; resembling a خَدِيج [properly so called] in the smallness of its limbs, and in its having less strength than a ثَنِّى or a رُباعِىّ.
