A.not having eaten, abstaining from food, fasting, Il.19.346, Arist.HA563a23, Call.Cer.6, Euph.57, v.l. in h.Merc.168.
2. c. gen., ἄπαστος ἐδητύος ἠδὲ ποτῆτος without having tasted meat or drink, Od.4.788, cf. 6.250, h.Cer.200: ἐδητύος ἔργον ἄπαστον a meal which feeds not, Opp.H.2.250.
