ἀδεής (A), Ep. ἀδειής , ές: voc. ἀδεές [α_, i.e. ἀδϝεές]:—
2. without anxiety, secure, τὸ . security, Th.3.37; . δέος δεδιέναι to fear where no fear is, Pl. Smp.198a.
II. causing no fear, not formidable, “πρὸς ἐχθρούςTh.1.36 (Comp.); “οὐ γὰρ ἀδεὲς τοῦτ᾽ ὑπολαμβάνωD.16.22.
III. most common in Adv. ἀδεῶς without fear or scruple, confidently, Hdt.3.65, 9.109; “. τινὰ ὠφελοῦμενTh.2.40; “. περί τινος ἀποφαίνεσθαιPl.La.186d; “. πολιτεύεσθαιLys.24.25; “.bibit Cic.Att.13.52: Comp. “-έστερονTh.4.92.
