A.break off: metaph., ἔωθεν ἐνικλᾶν ὅττι κεν εἴπω is wont to frustrate what I devise, Il.8.408, cf. 422; ἐνέκλασσας (Ep. aor. 1) “δὲ μενοινήν” Call.Jov.90; “γάμον βαρὺς ὅρκος ἐνικλᾷ” Id.Aet.3.1.22; “τίς ἄτη σωομένους μεσσηγὺς ἐνέκλασε;” A.R.3.307.
