A.Amaltheia, which suckled Zeus, Call.Fr.49: from her horn flowed whatever its possessor wished, hence κέρας Ἀμαλθείας horn of plenty, Anacr.8, Phoc.7, Ar. Fr.39 D.; applied to parks, etc., Duris 41, D.S.3.68, etc.; title of book, Gell.Praef.6:—also Ἀμαλθ-εῖον , τό, country-house of Atticus in Epirus, Cic.Att.1.16, cf. 18.
