(but in Ag.982 (-πιθ- codd.) the metre perh. favours -πειθ-); the sense is sts. Act., ὀνείρων φάσματ᾽ εὐπ（ε）ιθῆ σέβεις; Ag.274; “σήματ᾽ εὐπ（ε）ιθῆ βροτοῖς” Ch.259; perh. also θάρσος εὐπ（ε）ιθές Ag.982 (lyr.); “δημηγόρους . . εὐπ（ε）ιθεῖς στροφάς” Supp.623 (s. v.l.); sts. Pass., “σὺ δ᾽ εὐπ（ε）ιθὴς ἐμοί” Eu.829, cf. Pr. l.c.
