εὐπι^θ-ής , ές,
A.= εὐπειθής 1, “οὐ πείσεις νιν, οὐ γὰρ εὐπιθήςA.Pr.335: here and in Ag.274, Ch.259, Eu.829, Supp.623 cod. Med. has -πειθ-, but -πι^θ- is required by the metre in Pr.l. c. and is possible elsewh. (but in Ag.982 (-πιθ- codd.) the metre perh. favours -πειθ-); the sense is sts. Act., ὀνείρων φάσματ᾽ εὐπειθῆ σέβεις; Ag.274; “σήματ᾽ εὐπειθῆ βροτοῖςCh.259; perh. also θάρσος εὐπειθές Ag.982 (lyr.); “δημηγόρους . . εὐπειθεῖς στροφάςSupp.623 (s. v.l.); sts. Pass., “σὺ δ᾽ εὐπειθὴς ἐμοίEu.829, cf. Pr. l.c.
