A.knock at the door, break it open, esp. as a drunken feat, ἀπὸ γὰρ οἴνου γίγνεται καὶ θυροκοπῆσαι κτλ. Ar.V.1254; “θυροκοπῶν ὦφλεν δἰκην” Antiph.239, cf. Chor.inHermes17.232.
