συμψάω ,
A.rake together, “συμψήσασα τἀργυρίδιονEup.113; εὗρεν . . συμψῶντας τὸν ψυγμόν (the corn in the drying place) PPetr.2p.110 (iii B.C.); συμψῆσαι obliterate the traces left by anything in sand, Ar.Nu.975 (anap.); of a rapid river, sweep away, “ ποταμὸς τὸν ἵππον συμψήσας ὑποβρύχιον οἰχώκεε φέρωνHdt.1.189, cf. Iamb. ap. Suid. s.v., Eus.Mynd.63; carry off, arrest a man, PTeb.13.15,48.31 (both ii B.C.):—Pass., to be swept up or away, “εὗρον τὸν ψυγμὸν συνεψημένονPRyl.139.11 (i A.D.): aor. -εψήσθην, LXXJe.22.19, 31(48).33.
