[α_ρ Ar.Eq.815, etc.; α^ρ only late, AP11.387 (Pall.）]:—take the ἄριστον or midday meal, Ar.Nu.416, Eq.815; ἠρίστων, opp. ἐδείπνουν, X.Mem.2.7.12, cf. An.4.6.21: c. acc. rei, breakfast on, “ἴα καὶ ῥόδα” Diod.Com.2.37, cf. Pherecr.122.5: pf. Pass. impers., “ἠρίστηται δ᾽ ἐξαρκούντως” Ar.Ra.377.
