ἐκπίνω [ι_], fut.
A.“-πίομαι” Amips.22.2, “-πιοῦμαι” Arist.Rh.1393b31 :— drink out or off, quaff liquor, Hom. only in Od., in Ep. aor., “[ποτὸν] ἔκπι^εν” 9.353 ; “ἔκπιον [οἶνον]” 10.237 : pf. Pass., “ὅσσα τοι ἐκπέποται” 22.56, cf. Hdt.4.199 ; “ἐκπίνουσ᾽ ἀεὶ ψυχῆς..αἷμα” S.El.785 ; “δι᾽ αἵματ᾽ ἐκποθένθ᾽ ὑπὸ χθονός” A.Ch.66 (lyr.); “ἐκπίνειν ὑστάτην πόσιν” Antipho 1.20 ; also of bugs, ticks, and the like , drain, “τὴν ψυχὴν ἐ.” Ar.Nu.712 ; “τὸ αἷμα” Arist.Rh.1393b31 :—Pass., “σῶμα..ἐξεπόθη” IG14.2002.
