ἴσκω (B),= ἐΐσκω (q.v.), only 3sg. impf. ἴσκε（ν) in early Ep.,
A.make like, φωνὴν ἴσκουσ᾽ ἀλόχοισιν she made her voice like (the voice of) their wives, Od.4.279; feign, “ἴσκε ψεύδεα πολλὰ λέγων ἐτύμοισιν ὁμοῖα” 19.203.
II. think like, ἐμὲ σοὶ ἴσκοντες thinking me like (i.e. taking me for) you, Il.16.41; “σὲ τῷ ἴσκοντες” 11.799 (“εἴσκ-” Aristarch.).
2. guess, imagine, “ἴσκεν ἕκαστος ἀνήρ” Od.22.31; suppose, c. acc. et inf., Simon.130.
III. in Alex. Poets, through a misinterpretation of Hom., speak, say, A.R.2.240,al.: 1sg. “ἴσκον” Theoc.22.167, part. “ἴσκων” Lyc.574.
