A.falling or slipping down in bed, “εἰ π. γένοιτο” Hp.Prog.3; “π. ἐπὶ πόδας” Id.Coac.487; “π. ἂν ἐγίνετο ἡ βάδισις” out of control, Arist.IA712a29, cf. Diocl.Fr. 142.
2. inclined forward, “κεφαλὴ τοῦ βραχίονος π. ἐς τοὔμπροσθεν” Hp.Art.1; -έστεραι γένυες more prominent, ib.31; “ὁ μὲν αὐχὴν . . μὴ π. πεφύκοι” X.Eq.1.8; sloping, of shoulders, Gal.1.623; stooping, “μὴ ὀρθὸς ἀλλὰ μικρῷ -έστερος” Arist.Phgn.807b31.
