II. intr., strike against, collide with, “πυρί” Pl.Ti.43c, cf. Epicur. Ep.2p.38U., Nat.2.3; “πρός τι” Zen.3.29: abs., stumble, fall, D.18.254: metaph. of failure or defeat, “μικρὰ προσκρούσας” Plu.Sull.11, cf. Luc.17.
