τέτμον , and ἔτετμον , Ep. aor. without any pres. in use, used by Hom. in indic. both with and without augm.:—
A.overtake, reach, find, “ἔνθ᾽ ὅ γε Νέστορ᾽ ἔτετμε” Il.4.293, cf. 6.515, Od.3.256, al.; “ὃν . . γῆρας ἔτετμεν” 1.218; “οὐκ ἔνδον ἀμύμονα τέτμεν ἄκοιτιν” Il.6.374, cf. Od.5.58; “ὄφρ᾽ ἔτι . . μητέρα τέτμῃς” 15.15; 3pl. “τέτμον” A.R.3.1275; opt. “τέτμοιμεν” Theoc.25.61.
2. c. gen., partake of, have allotted one, “ὃς δέ κε τέτμῃ ἀταρτηροῖο γενέθλης” Hes.Th.610.
