A.price paid for a thing, “ὁ δ᾽ ἄξιον ὦνον ἔδωκε” Od.15.388, cf. Il.21.41; “ἄσπετον ὦνον ἕλοιτο” Od.14.297; “ὁ δ᾽ ὑμῖν μυρίον ὦνον ἄλφοι” 15.452; the person or thing bought being in gen., Αυκάονος ὦνον ἔδωκε for Lycaon, Il.23.746, cf. Theoc.1.58, Inscr.Delos502A17 (iii B. C.).
