I. L. Cornehus, a celebrated Roman historian, born about A.U.C. 635, author of a Roman history (Historiae). He preceded Sallust, who took him as a model, Cic. Brut. 64, 228; id. Leg. 1, 2, 7; Sall. J. 95, 2; Ov. Tr. 2, 443; v. the fragments, Krause, Vit. et Fragm. Hist. Rom. p. 303 sq.—
