Quirinalia

A festival celebrated on February 17th of each year at Rome in honour of Quirinus, that being the date on which Romulus was said to have been carried up to heaven (Ovid, Fasti, ii. 457). The day was also called Stultōrum Feriae or “Feast of Fools,” for which see Fornacalia.
