‘Concealer,’ Occulina): Calypso, a
goddess, daughter of Atlas, dwelling in the isle of Ogygia, where she
detains Odysseus for seven years, until commanded by Zeus to dismiss
him, Od. 5.28, Od. 7.259, 265; epithets, δολόεσσα,
δεινὴ θεός, ἐυπλόκαμος, αὐδήεσσα, ἠύκομος, νύμφη
πότνια.
