Σι?συφος (redup. from σοφός): Sisyphus, son of Aeolus, father of Glaucus, and founder of Ephyra (Corinth), renowned for craft and wiles, Il. 6.153 ff. He was punished in Hades by rolling the ‘resulting’ stone up-hill, Od. 11.593.
