ἐπεργάσασθαι ‘cultivate its former site’: ἐπεργ. of sacrilegiously cultivating sacred soil, Aeschin. In Ctes. § 113, (the Amphissaeans) ἐπειργάσαντο τὸ πεδίον (of Crisa). So ἐπεργασία τῆς γῆς τῆς ἱερᾶς, Thuc. I. 139.
