Athenodo'rus

（*)Aqhno/dwros), a Greek physician in the first century after Christ or the beginning of the second. He was probably a contemporary of Plutarch, by whom the first book of his treatise On Epidemic Diseases, Ἐπιδήμια, is quoted. (Sympos. 8.9.1.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
