1. to noise abroad, report, rumour 1H6 II. iii. 68 “I find thou art no less than fame hath bruited.”
2. to herald with noise Mac. V. vii. 22 “By this great clatter, one of greatest note Seems bruited.”
3. “bruit again,” to echo Ham. I. ii. 127.
