Organ-pipe, wind-pipe, throat (cf. organ in Tw. I, 4, 33): “this pale faint swan, who chants a doleful hymn to his own death, and from the o. of frailty sings his soul and body to their lasting rest,” John V, 7, 23. Hence == voice: “methought the billows spoke and told me of it; the winds did sing it to me, and the thunder, that deep and dreadful o., pronounced the name of Prosper,” Tp. III, 3, 98 (apparently not the pipe of a musical organ, which would have been unable to pronounce a name).
