Poll.9.90.—Freq. written χαλκεῖον in codd., but χαλκίον is required by the metre in Com., and corroborated by Inscrr. (v. supr.), and Pap., PCair.Zen.630.4 (iii B. C.), PMich.Zen.65.2 (iii B. C.), PSI6.625.12 (iii B. C.), etc.
