A.that which surrounds, crown, wreath, Thgn.1001; “βωμῶν” Pi.I.4 (3).62(80); μεγάλαιν θεοῖν ἀρχαῖον ς. S.OC684 (lyr.); ς. πύργων [the city's] coronal of towers, the encircling towers, Id.Ant.122 (lyr.).
2. a crown as the prize of victory, Pi.P.12.5; “σελίνων” Id.I. 2.15.
