3. in peaceable sense, come together, meet to consult or deliberate, ib.15, Lycurg. 126, etc.; “ς. περὶ νόμων θέσεωςArist.Pol.1298a17; of a conspirator, “ς. τοῖς φυγάσιν ἐπὶ καταλύσει τοῦ δήμουDin.1.94, cf. D.24.144; also of festive meetings, “συνόδους συνιέναιPl.Smp.197d.
4. ς. εἰς τὴν κοινωνίαν, of marriage, ib.773a; of copulation of animals, Arist.HA540a10.
