I.stated, specified, Il.; ἐς χρόνον ῥητόν at a set or stated time, Hdt.; ἡμέραι ῥ. Thuc.; ἐπὶ ῥητοῖς γέρασι with fixed prerogatives, id=Thuc.; ῥ. ἀργύριον a stated sum, id=Thuc.; ἐπὶ ῥητοῖς on stated terms, on certain conditions, Hdt., Eur.:—adv. ῥητῶς, expressly, distinctly, NTest.
