Mĕnălippus (orig. form Mĕlănip-pus ), i, m., = Μελάνιππος,
I.the slayer of Tydeus, who, while dying, bit the head of Menalippus, Stat. Th. 8, 719; 740.—The form Melanippus is found as the name of a tragedy of Attius, Cic. Tusc. 3, 9, 20.
