Eunus

Εὔνους). A Sicilian juggler and slave, a native of Apamea in Syria. He was the leader of the Sicilian slaves in the Servile War (B.C. 134- 132) (Livy , Epit. xlv.). He was defeated by the consul P. Rupilius, and died in prison at Morgantia (Florus, iii. 20; Plut. Sull. 36).
