1.of Kastor, referring to some melody or rythm, perhaps connected with his patronage of horsemen, cf. “ἱππίῳ νόμῳO. 1.101: “ΣP. 2.127 claims this was hyporchematic. “τὸ Καστόρειον δ᾽ ἐν Αἰολίδεσσι χορδαῖς θέλων ἄθρησον χάριν ἑπτακτύπου φόρμιγγος ἀντόμενος” (sc. “μέλος”: “gleichbedeutend mit Epinikion”, Fränkel; D & P, 494^{18}: “Σ”, Wil. refer to fr. 105) P. 2.69ἐθέλω Καστορείῳ Ἰολάοἰ ἐναρμόξαι μιν ὕμνῳI. 1.16
