Pleistae'netus
(
*Pleistai/netos), an Athenian painter, the brother of Pheidias, is mentioned by Plutarch (
De Glor. Athen. ii. p. 346) among the most celebrated painters, such as Apollodorus, Euphranor, Nicias, and Asclepiodorus, who painted victories, battles, and heroes; but there is no other mention of him.
