king of Bosporus, in the reigns of Hadrian and Antoninus Pius, since the heads of both of these emperors appear on his coins. He is mentioned by Capitolinus in his life of Antoninus Pius (100.9). It is the head of the same emperor which is on the obverse of the annexed coin. (Eckhel, vol. ii. p. 378.)
