Blackmar, Frank Wilson, 1854-

Historian; born in West Springfield, Pa., Nov. 3, 1854: was graduated at the university of the Pacific in 1881: became Professor of History and Sociology in the University of Kansas in 1889. He is the author of Spanish institutions in the Southwest; Federal and State aid to higher education; The story of human progress, etc.
