The North Carolina Regiment.

The noble North Carolina Regiment, at the battle of Bethel Church, covered itself and the Old North State with glory. Major Hill, of that regiment, is one of the most thoroughly educated soldiers and scholars of the South a trust and gallant gentlemen as over breathed. It was eminently proper that North Carolina being the next State South to Virginia, should stand side by side with the Old Dominion in it is battle. We commend it to Old Abe's consideration whether, even if he could get through Virginia, he will not find the North Carolina Jordan, next door to us, ‘"a hard road to travel?"’
