Gen. Beauregard.

--On Wednesday last, one of the regiments around Charleston called on Gen. Beauregard in the city, and their Colonel made a belief congratulating the General on his to health and resumption of active duty, to Gen. Beauregard said:

‘ If I have accomplished anything worth in this gigantic , it has been of my brave followers that is the energy have endeavored to perform my part. Whether at the head of an army or of a squad of men, rest assured I shall always do my duty, my whole duty to the best of my ability. Not for my own sake, but for that of the cause and country. We may are long be called upon to meet again our Vandal foes on the same spot already hallowed by our success. In a short time I hope to be ready at all points to give them as warm a welcome as we could desire especially when assisted by yourselves and the gallant troops of this department, composed of the materials I had heretofore under my command. The result cannot then, I think, be doubtful.
