Gen. Lee in Virginia.

The fears of those who believed that Gen. Lee was in a perilous situation on the other side of the Potomac, will, we hope, be agreeably relieved by the intelligence that he is back again with his army perfectly sound and in good condition. What his motives were, it were a waste of time to guess. We must be satisfied with knowing that they were the motives of a great General, and, therefore, necessarily correct. We, and we believe most of his countrymen, place entire confidence in his skill and judgment.
