An Appeal To The Ladies Of Richard In Behaly Of The First Regiment --As winter is approaching, and our armies are likely to be exposed to inclemencies of a winter campaign. I would respectfully suggest the wisdom of timely preparation of suitable clothing In addition to a suit of clothes and shoes which the city has kindly promised. I propose that the ladies undertake to provide each soldier in the Regiment with two pair of socks by the 1st of October. Messrs. Wordsworth, Turder & Co. have kindly consented to receive and forward to the Regiment the work as soon as it is delivered.
