Among those who called on him at the Brevoo House was Gen. Robert Anderson. Robert Wilson, President of the Missouri State Convention, has been appointed by the Governor of that State to fill one of the vacancies in the Senate of the United States occasioned by the expulsion of Messrs. Johnson and Polk. In the Federal Senate, on the 16th inst. the contested seat in that body from Kansas was declared in favor of Jim Lane by a vote of 24 to 16.
